How to measure your jeans' inseam length:

If you already have your favourite pair of petite jeans, use it to take an accurate denim measurement. Lay it out on a flat surface and measure the rise and inseam. How? Measure the length from the crotch seam to the bottom of the hem along the inside seam. That's your inseam length.

Tip: When shopping remember to add a bit to the inseam length if you consider wearing high heelswith the new pair and find out if the pair you are machine-wash friendly. You know some of them are prone to shrinkage, don't you?

Now, that was your inseam length, what about the size of your jeans. How do you measure that. US sizes are 00-16. What do they refer to. 1)

Measure your waist by bend to one side to find the natural crease/waist and measure across at this point.

Measure your hips: With your legs about 6" apart measure around the fullest part of your hips.

Tip: If your tape measure is in centimeters then you need to divide the number by 2.54. For example, 76cm/2.54 will be 30" waist. That still doesn't give you the right number for your US size. Now you need to subtract 21 from the size in inches. 30-21 = Your jeans size is 9.
